ONE METHOD

 More than 50 years ago, Dr. Ponseti developed an innovative, non-surgical treatment for clubfoot that involving the gentle, manual manipulation of the child's foot and the application of toe-to-groin plaster casts. Following correction the child wears a brace to avoid relapse. This method is 95%+ effective and has been considered the preferred treatment for clubfoot by the NIH (National Institute of Health , and WHO (World Health Organization).

ONE MISSION 

 The Internet has been a powerful tool in raising awareness of the Ponseti Method treatment of clubfoot. This website is built on a foundation laid out by physicians and parents who have worked painstakingly to promote the Ponseti Method. This has occurred in two ways: Dr. Ponseti and his associates making information about treatment and results openly available on the Internet and parents communicating with each other on the Internet and exchanging not only basic information but also stories and resources.  The purpose of this website is to facilitate communication between parents as well as act as a bridge between parents and the Ponseti International Association.

The Ponseti International Association (PIA) is commited to treating children around the world with clubfoot. No child deserves the pain and suffering caused by untreated or poorly treated clubfoot. With the help of dedicated parents PIA  aims to reach that goal.
